This one-of-a-kind conversion necklace is made up of:
Gold filled Victorian bar pin pendant from the late 1800s with hand tooled details. Pendant measures 2.5" tall. Due to the shape of the beak, along with it's popularity of the times, I've identified this bird to be a parrot. With their ability to imitate voices, parrots were a symbol of eloquence. They were also rare and difficult to obtain, therefore also a symbol of wealth and often were a companion in portrait paintings.
New 14k gold filled chain that measures a standard 18”.
Necklace pictured measures 16”. If desired, an adjustable chain length may be built into the chain to be more versatile, adjustable from 16-17-18 inches or from 18-19-20 inches. Wear this necklace shorter or longer depending on the neckline of what you're wearing.
